GRAPHIC DESIGN

As quite a visual learner, over the past few years I have attended regular placements at a Leicester based graphic design studio, XDream Design LTD, where I act as an assistant. Here, I edit photographs for print and digital publications, create style guides and design promotional materials. My main responsibility is keeping to deadlines and conveying the desired messages on behalf of the client, whether this be following a strict brief or using my imagination. My time here has allowed me to develop my IT literacy to a confident level and hold an attentive eye for detail as a creative. Clients here include: Leicester Tigers Rugby Club, Everton Football Club, Manchester United Football Club, Arsenal Football Club (programmes and club merchandise) and Alex's Wish (promotional charity materials).

From this, I enjoy freelancing my skills at no cost for experience and use my knowledge when creating my own marketing materials for Busk in Brum on and offline.

GODLIKE MANAGEMENT

A new music management company based in the West Midlands kindly asked myself to design logo's for their company. Called 'Godlike Management' the client requested a bold but simplistic design which demonstrated their confidence in artistry care and lived up to their holy, prestigious title.

BAND ON! STREET TEAM FLYERS

BAND ON! is a campaign which works alongside venues, musicians and music fans to make live music more enjoyable, safer and protected for the future. Their project consists of a  wristband routine that can be adopted as policy by grassroots venues for 14+/16+ gigs, the BAND ON! procedure simply asks that ID is checked with tickets at live music events and a wristband is handed out accordingly depending on age. This is neon green for over 18 and neon pink for under.

 

As BAND ON! encourage and welcomes under 18's to attend live music shows and ensures security for venues, the campaign is now recruiting a street team to be a part of their work. They're scouting for a team of young creatives who are passionate about local music. These will be a part of the discussion and get involved with supporting local talent - writing about it, experiencing it live and sharing the BAND ON! work. Promoting the project too, the street team will get first hand experience in the music industries. They'll see how gigs operate backstage, interview musicians, build a portfolio, practice their skills in writing/photography and production whilst also being granted press passes.

 

Flyers were designed to be handed out at gigs to grab the attention of these young music lovers and inform them of the opportunity and how they can get involved.

PRETTY COOL PR LOGO AND BANNER

Boutique music PR agency called "Pretty Cool PR" asked for a logo and banner for their social media accounts. The brief gave a two tone colour palette but were open to ideas with imagery and font style. I went for a 'hipster' looking figure with glasses and headphones to connote 'cool' and represent the name and indie genre of the agency.
