Hello!

I'm Yasemin (there's really just no need for the 'e', it's just to make introductions even more confusing), from Leicester. I'm 21 years old and I’m graduating from the Birmingham School of Media with a First-Class degree in Media and Communication Studies, eek! My module choices have been heavily PR and New Media based, as well as sharing a real passion for the Music Industries too.

My strengths revolve around digital communications including social media, marketing, optimisation, IT and innovation. I'm also incredibly organised, confident at presentations, attentive and a strategist. 

​

I'm currently working on Busk in Brum (click here) where I'm promoting, supporting and celebrating the buskers of Birmingham with the ultimate goal of giving street performers the recognition they rightfully deserve. Join me and together we can colour the grey streets with vibrant acts and performances!

I also scribble words for tmrw magazine as one of the fastest growing culture & music magazine brands with print and digital content platforms. Here, I contribute words on travel, music, culture and opinion. You can find my work here.

I also write for The National Student alongside a collective network of students across the UK. I write sponsored posts on behalf of clients alongside news, interviews (film and music), and fashion advice. Through my profile, I also document The National Student Cake Off where three (less than) amateur bakers battle for Star Baker and I can act like Sue Perkins on a weekly basis. Feel free to read here.

I also work part-time at Costa Coffee alongside my studies and could one day be rewarded the title 'World's Clumsiest Barista', so watch this space! Despite this, I honestly make a mean cappuccino and will never say 'no' to a piece of caramel shortbread.
